Abdominal Pain And Cramping After Sex
The topic of pain during or after intercourse isn't frequently discussed, despite the fact that it's common. Allure spoke with doctors about what causes it. Raquel Dardik, M.D., a clinical associate professor of obstetrics and gynecology at New York University's Langone Medical Center, says causes could be a woman being sensitive to the molecules in semen, the bladder gets irritated from the friction during intercourse, or organs such as the ovaries or the uterus may get jostled or hit during intercourse. Dr. Dardik says to consult a doctor if the pain is ongoing and severe, especially if it's a persistent problem after sex.
