F-22 Raptor Completes Combat Surge Over Syria
According to Business Insider, the F-22 Raptor completed its first combat surge over Syria.
The stealth fighter was used in the region to provide cover for US troops on the ground.
The US Air Force 94th Fighter Wing completed 590 flights for a total of 4,600 flight hours.
The Pentagon said that the F-22s also dropped 4,250 pounds of ordnance during their first combat surge.
The stealth fighters also deterred an estimated 587 enemy aircraft from conducting missions around US troops.
