Hawaiian Winter Storm Produces Snow
According to CNN, a winter storm has taken over the Hawaiian islands producing gusty winds, rain, high surf and even snow. Trees have been knocked over by strong winds and fly away branches have torn down traffic lights and power lines resulting in power outages. Forecasters are warning that the high speed winds have the potential to damage roofs and poorly built structures. Hiro Toiya, director of the Honolulu Department of Emergency Management, is urging citizens to use "extra caution (when) driving."
