Megan Rapinoe Not Happy With Hope Solo

Megan Rapinoe, one of the U.S. women soccer team’s veterans, has spoken out against teammate Hope Solo over the goalie's comments following USA's surprise loss to Sweden at the 2016 Summer Olympics. Solo originally made headlines when she called the Sweden team “a bunch of cowards” following USA's loss in a penalty shootout. When asked this week in an interview with NBC about Solo’s comments, Rapinoe said, "I'm disappointed to be honest. That’s not our team, that’s not what this team has always been, that’s not what this team will be in the future.” She then added, "We’ve been on the winning side quite a bit and when we find ourselves on the other side we need to handle that graciously and unfortunately that wasn’t the case.”
