Men, Women And Housework

Published on 07/18/19 / In News & Politics

In Western society there is a known gap when it comes to gender equality, specifically related to the area of men vs women and who will take on household chores.
In many homes, it is simply common place that women are still expected to take on more housework than men, despite working full-time jobs. Researchers from the University of Oxford investigated how the housework gap has progressed on an international level. The findings reveled that in the last 50 years the housework gap between men and women has declined since 1961. The study found that women are doing less and men are doing a little more, however the gap itself is still quite large, with women throughout the Western world continuing to do far more housework than men.
