Pirates Hijack Oil Tanker Off Somalia for 1st Time in 5 Years

Pirates have hijacked an oil tanker off the coast of Somalia.
Officials and piracy experts stated it is the first hijacking of a commercial vessel since 2012.
According to reports, the Aris 13 was approached on March 13th by two skiffs.
The ship was carrying fuel from Djibouti to Somalia's capital, Mogadishu.
A Somali official added that an estimated two dozen men boarded the Aris off the northern coastline.
An analyst with Oceans Beyond Piracy reported the oil tanker has a crew of eight Sri Lankans.
