Texting While Driving May Have Caused TX Truck/Van Crash
According to a witness on Friday, the driver of a pickup truck that collided with a church minibus in rural Texas, killing 13 people, apologized after the crash and acknowledged he had been texting while driving. The witness, Jody Kuchler, told The Associated Press he was behind the truck and saw it moving erratically before the collision. Kuchler said he witnessed the crash and checked on both the bus and the truck afterward. He was able to speak with the driver, 20-year-old Jack Dillon Young. According to Kuchler, Young had said, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I was texting."
