Tornadoes Tear Up Kansas City Suburbs
According to the Huffington Post, a tornado ripped through a suburb of Kansas City.
Located about 30 miles west of Kansas City, a large tornado touched down in Linwood, destroying homes, pulling up trees, and bringing down power lines.
At least 12 people were admitted to a hospital in Lawrence, Kansas to treat injuries sustained during the storm.
The Douglas County Emergency Management agency said at least 15 people were hurt due to the storm, including three seriously injured people.
The storm struck due East of Lawrence, home to the University of Kansas, before heading South.
